Teaching of the Visually Impaired:
ClairviewSchool has a teacher of the visually impaired on staff, Michele Jones. Mrs. Jones works with students using the following materials:
Braille materials
Braille writers
Braille books
Low vision aids such as light boxes, light up toys, tactile materials to encourage hands on interactions
Visual scanning materials
Educational background:
Masters of Education specializing in teaching visually impaired students
Visually Impaired support/orientation and mobility specialist
Bachelor's degree in psychology and elementary education
Certification in orientation and mobility
